Terms governing use electrical services provided Central Coast Electrician Services. Read our service terms policies customer agreements before engaging our licensed electricians.
These Terms Conditions ("Terms") govern your use electrical services provided Central Coast Electrician Services ("we" "our" "us" or "the Company"). By engaging our services you ("you" "your" or "the Client") agree bound these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before booking our services. If you do not agree any part these Terms please do not use our services.
Services Provided
Scope of Services
Central Coast Electrician Services provides licensed electrical contracting services including but not limited:
- Residential and commercial electrical installations
- Electrical repairs maintenance switchboard upgrades installations
- LED lighting installations emergency electrical services
- Electrical safety inspections testing power point installations
- Ceiling fan installations smoke alarm compliance checks
Licensing and Compliance
All electrical work performed licensed electricians accordance with:
- NSW Electrical Safety Act 2002 NSW Electrical Safety Regulation 2013
- Australian New Zealand Wiring Rules AS NZS 3000
- All other relevant Australian Standards regulations
Service Areas
We service all suburbs across Central Coast region New South Wales. Services outside this area may considered case-by-case basis.
Booking and Appointments
Booking Process
Services may booked via phone email our website contact form. Booking confirmed when we acknowledge your request agree appointment time.
Appointment Times
We provide appointment time windows rather exact times. Our electrician will contact you before arrival. While we strive arriving within scheduled window delays may occasionally occur due unforeseen circumstances.
Access Requirements
You must provide safe reasonable access work area including:
- Clear access switchboard work areas removal valuables fragile items
- Arrangement pets secured notification any site-specific hazards
Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need cancel reschedule:
- More than 24 hours notice: No fee
- Less than 24 hours notice: $100 cancellation fee may apply
- No-show without notice: Full call-out fee applies
We will make reasonable efforts rescheduling cancelled appointments earliest convenient time.
Quotes and Pricing
Quotations
We provide free quotes most electrical work. Quotes valid 30 days from date issue unless otherwise stated. Quotes estimates based information provided may subject adjustment if site conditions differ from what described.
Pricing
Our pricing includes labour costs standard materials equipment travel within our service area GST where applicable.
Unless otherwise stated quotes do not include:
- Costs additional work discovered during job requires separate approval
- Materials equipment specifically requested client
- Costs associated rectifying non-compliant electrical work others
- Structural work painting non-electrical trades
Price Changes
If additional work required beyond original scope:
- We will inform you immediately provide revised quote additional work
- Obtain your approval before proceeding
Emergency Call-Outs
Emergency services particularly after hours weekends public holidays incur premium rates. These rates clearly communicated when booking emergency service.
Payment Terms
Payment Methods
We accept payment by cash bank transfer EFT credit card Visa MasterCard debit card.
Payment Timing
Payment due upon completion work unless alternative payment terms agreed writing job staged project milestone payments commercial payment terms arranged.
Overdue Payments
For accounts not paid within 7 days invoice date:
- Reminder notice sent interest may charged rate 2% per month overdue amounts
- We reserve right suspend further work until payment received
- Debt recovery costs may added outstanding amount
Deposits
For larger projects typically over $2,000 we may require deposit 30-50% before commencing work. This deposit non-refundable if you cancel after materials ordered.
Work Performance and Standards
Workmanship Guarantee
We guarantee our workmanship period 12 months from date completion. If defects workmanship identified during this period we will rectify them no charge.
Materials and Equipment
Unless otherwise specified we use industry-standard materials equipment. Manufacturer warranties materials separate from our workmanship guarantee subject manufacturer's terms.
Testing and Certification
All electrical work tested safety compliance. We provide:
- Compliance certificates required law test reports where applicable
- Safety switch certificates
Site Conditions
We are not responsible:
- Damage concealed services pipes cables not identified before work begins
- Asbestos hazardous materials discovered during work—work will stop until proper remediation
- Pre-existing non-compliant electrical work others structural damage painting required after electrical work
Client Responsibilities
Accurate Information
You must provide accurate information about nature electrical work required property ownership authority authorise work any known hazards special circumstances previous electrical work modifications.
Permits and Approvals
You responsible obtaining any necessary council approvals permits we can advise if required body corporate approvals strata properties landlord approvals rental properties.
Safety
You must ensure work area safe our electricians inform us any site hazards keep children pets away work areas follow any safety instructions provided our electricians.
Limitation of Liability
Our Liability
To extent permitted law our liability limited cost re-performing service. We are not liable consequential indirect losses. We maintain appropriate insurance our business activities.
Exclusions
We are not liable:
- Damage caused failure follow our maintenance recommendations
- Damage from electrical faults appliances equipment not serviced us
- Power outages supply issues controlled electricity distributor
- Defects work performed other contractors
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing these Terms excludes restricts modifies any consumer guarantee right remedy under Australian Consumer Law ACL any other applicable law cannot lawfully excluded.
Under ACL you have certain guaranteed rights including services provided due care skill services fit purpose you told us services delivered within reasonable time.
Emergency Services
Emergency Response
We provide 24/7 emergency electrical services. Emergency situations include complete power failure exposed live wiring electrical burning smells sparks electrical safety hazards.
Emergency Limitations
Emergency call-outs intended making situations safe restoring basic power. Full repairs may need scheduled normal business hours if specialised parts required extensive work needed situation made safe requires long-term solutions.
Dispute Resolution
Initial Contact
If you have concerns our service please contact us immediately. We committed resolving issues quickly fairly.
Formal Complaints
If informal resolution unsuccessful you may submit formal written complaint contact NSW Fair Trading seek mediation through appropriate channels.
Governing Law
These Terms governed laws New South Wales Australia. Any disputes will subject jurisdiction courts New South Wales.
Changes to Terms
We reserve right update these Terms any time. Updated Terms posted our website with new Last Updated date. Your continued use our services constitutes acceptance updated Terms.
